Turkey D5 and D6 Siloxane Restrictions: Key Dates for 2026-2027

Under transitional provisions in the Turkish Cosmetic Products Regulation, Decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5) and Dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane (D6) will be restricted to below 0.1% in rinse-off cosmetics from 1 December 2026. From 6 June 2027 the same limit will apply to all cosmetic products placed on the Turkish market.

These measures aim to prevent uncontrolled circulation of the substances while full REACH alignment is completed. Brands should review formulations, update Product Information Files and prepare reformulations where necessary.
