TİTCK Cosmetics Enforcement: Significant Fines in Mid-2026
In mid-July 2026 TİTCK announced results of recent market surveillance: of 95 beauty products inspected, approximately 50 were found non-compliant, leading to administrative fines exceeding 11 million TRY for technical violations and health-risk findings. Additional actions were taken against non-compliant biocidal products, including recalls and destruction, with further fines imposed.
The actions underscore intensified oversight of cosmetic and borderline products on the Turkish market. Companies are reminded of the importance of accurate ÜTS notifications, compliant labelling, and up-to-date Product Information Files.
